Assessment data is an essential part of responsive teaching and learning practices. Often this data is limited to specific curriculum areas that don’t give us enough information to understand all holistic influences on student learning. This online course addresses the importance of assessing the whole child so you can more accurately target your teaching to reach all students at their actual point of need including addressing the influences that inhibit their growth.

This online course will allow you to:

  • Understand the elements that shape the whole child.
  • Discover how to collate data that addresses the whole child including combining this with existing curriculum data.
  • Explore how you can assess the whole child to plan strategies that target your teaching to more successfully improve student outcomes.
  • Recognise how you can enrich PLCs by incorporating holistic data as part of the school improvement cycle.
